Abstract

|
Carotid artery puncture is the most common complication of internal jugular vein catheterization. However, arteriovenous fistula between carotid artery and internal jugular vein has been rarely reported. Here we report a patient who developed arteriovenous fistula following inadvertent carotid artery puncture, while undergoing liver transplantation. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2007; 52: 487∼90)
